Application “Deferred”

Following the commitee meeting, the application has been deferred due to 3 main points:

-The size of the 9 storey building

-Further information on Traffic Flow

-The ratio of flats to houses.

Were you there? What were your thoughts? Please add your comments.

Also, I have noticed that the “Neighbour Comments due by” date is now 2nd December 2009 on the Havering planning website. I strongly urge people (even if you are not a direct neighbour) to post your comments to the council. Please try to keep them constructive and relevant - personal insults will not help the cause!

Thanks for your comments and views.  If you get any further information, let us know.

Good to see so many residents out in force on Thursday. It’s also good to see that a couple of commenters here indicate that they won’t be voting for our local Lib Dem and Conservative councillors. As for Labour, we know they’re the main force behind all of this anyway. I shall never again vote for such traitors!

It was excellent to see so many residents on Thursday evening - it was such an awful evening pouring of rain yet still so many of us came from work to protest our views. My husband, family and myself, all Harold Wood Residents, will definitely not be voting Conservative or Lib Dems. As for Pam White she has sold us up the river and she wants to be Mayoress next year not if I can help it. There was so much about how nice the houses/flats would be pitched roofs, decking etc, but I feel absolutely no thought was given to us as residents being literally invaded by another 3,000 people.

  3. David James Says:

Hopefully, the actions of residents will have some real impact on the application. Well done to everyone.

I would like to know where the local Lib Dem and Conservative councillors stand on this matter. It’s been curiously quiet. Neither of them will be getting my vote in future local elections.
